We appreciate all of our new cooking equipment and can't wait to put it all to good use throughout this school year. \r\nWe've already started using some of the items, like the knives, cutting board, and drying rack. Our first unit of the year was on knife safety, so we used our new safety knives and the cutting boards to make sandwiches. Unfortunately, I forgot to get pictures, but the kiddos really enjoyed learning how to use the knife safely and appropriately. In October, we'll use the crockpot to make homemade applesauce. In March, we'll make pancakes on the griddle. Friday cooking activities are some of our favorite times of the year and now they're going to be even better! When we use our iPads, whether it be for learning or reward time, my kiddos all rush to grab an iPad pillow. They love laying on the floor with them and using them at their seats. The headphone storage has been an amazing space saver and it makes it so much easier for the students to grab a pair without having to disrupt the learning that is going on.
