We've already put many of the donated items to use, including snacks, clothing, and hair care products. My students were especially excited about the snacks! One student was so happy to see the fire truck underwear, while another was absolutely thrilled to have her hair done with our new hair ties, brush, and bows! These may seem like small things, but seeing their excitement and smiles reminded me how much these everyday essentials can mean to our students.\r\nAs the school year continues, I'll continue to put these donations to good use to support my students' daily needs, comfort, and independence. With colder weather approaching, the clothing will be especially helpful in keeping them warm and comfortable. We'll also continue using the training underwear and other supplies as we work on toilet training and building important self-help skills.
