From these hands-on experiences, our students learn many skills including decision-making, adaptability, creativity, critical thinking, time management, problem solving, communication and more! \r\n\r\nAnd with these events and activities, we have several items that we use (and reuse) and our storage for those items, has been limited. Now with the most recent donations through Donors Choose, we are able to keep and store items that we could not previously and with that, we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. Your generous gift has made it possible for us to kickstart our room. I have set everything up in the room and students have started using the room. I am truly grateful for all you have done to help us on this journey.\r\n\r\nThere are students who use this room everyday. This provides them with the sensory break that they truly need during the school day. The students were so excited when they walked into the sensory room for the first time.\r\n\r\nStudents are really using the sensory objects during the day. I have every intention to continue to grow our sensory room. We held a basket raffle and concession during our schools Powder Puff Football game. The proceeds will be used to continue to expand our sensory room.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you all so much for your support.
