The new seating options have given students the freedom to choose where and how they learn best. When they first walked in and saw the new setup, their faces lit up with excitement, and many immediately started exploring different seating areas to find their perfect learning spot. During a recent group storytelling activity in Spanish, students naturally gravitated toward different zones—some gathered on the floor with clipboards, others stood at tables acting out scenes—and the energy in the room was incredible. These flexible spaces have sparked creativity, focus, and comfort, helping every student feel more engaged and empowered. Our next step is to continue integrating movement-based learning and collaborative projects that take full advantage of this dynamic new classroom environment you helped create.","fullyFundedDate":1660076891909,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-the-classroom/6628595/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vazquez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7154090_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1657577486146","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7154090"},{"teacherId":7453406,"projectId":5610762,"letterContent":"Thank you for donating to my FVR library. The past few years have been impactful with the implementation of the books. Although the students might not see the impact immediately, as their teacher I can see their improvement by the end of the year through their language skills.\r\n\r\nAs their teacher, I was able to add this reading activity twice a week. I was happy the students had choice in what they were going to read. This way everyone had the opportunity to pick a book they were interested in reading more about. The students had to complete a bookmark after each book to show their understanding.\r\n\r\nMany kids enjoyed this and also it gave them more confidence in their language learning.\r\n\r\nThank you for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1623958266976,"projectUrl":"project/fvr-library/5610762/","projectTitle":"FVR Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Capuano","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7453406_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y504&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1623843684991","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7453406"},{"teacherId":7154090,"projectId":5618156,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous donations, our Spanish classroom now has a vibrant and engaging library of comprehensible input novels that has completely transformed the way my students learn. These novels, written with accessible language and meaningful stories, allow students to read in Spanish, not just about Spanish. They're developing confidence, vocabulary, and cultural understanding as they follow characters through adventures, friendships, and discoveries that feel authentic and relatable. Reading time in class has become one of the most anticipated parts of our day. Students choose books at their level, settle into cozy reading seats, and excitedly share what they've learned or laughed about with their peers. One of my quieter students, who used to hesitate to speak in Spanish, recently finished her first novel and proudly summarized it to the class in Spanish which is a huge milestone.
