My students are in Spanish 2 and Advanced Spanish 2. I would like to have a variety of materials that they can read for pleasure during in-class time. Now that they have a basic foundation of the language, I want to show them that just because they aren’t fluent yet doesn’t mean they can’t become readers in Spanish. It is my sincere hope that they will feel pride in their ability to read a book of their choosing and it will spark a further interest in reading. Fostering a love for reading (in any language!) is something that can have a lasting impact on my students and starting this classroom library is a step toward making this a reality!
