The new rug has given my first graders a comfortable, welcoming space where they can learn, collaborate, and feel at home. We use the rug every single day during whole-group lessons, reading time, centers, and our morning meeting. We even use it for birthday celebrations! The difference in how my students focus and engage has been noticeable from the very first week. \r\n\r\nYour donations of new reading books, sturdy folders, whiteboards with markers and erasers, pencil-top erasers, and two large boxes of copy paper have made learning even more exciting for my first graders. These items have already become essential tools in our daily routines. The whiteboards are a class favorite, we use them for phonics, spelling practice, and quick checks during lessons. my students love getting to show their thinking in such interactive way. The folders have helped them stay organized and take pride in keeping their materials neat, and fresh reading books have added so much joy to our class reading time. \r\n\r\nSomething as simple as having enough copy paper has taken a huge weight off my shoulders and ensured that my students always have access to the activities, practice pages, and learning materials they need. The pencil-top erasers may seem small, but my students use them constantly and were so excited to have their own supply. Each item you provided is already making a real difference in the flow of our day and the quality of our learning environment. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has touched every corner of our classroom and has directly supported my students in meaningful, everyday ways. They feel valued, prepared, and motivated. Thank you for investing in our little classroom family and in all the growth happening here this year.","fullyFundedDate":1755701629265,"projectUrl":"project/from-the-floor-up-building-a-better-lea/9353110/","projectTitle":"From the Floor Up: Building a Better Learning Space","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Zapata","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10034865_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747164276525","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10034865"},{"teacherId":8370182,"projectId":9103089,"letterContent":"It was a nice surprise to receive your donation to fully fulfill my project. I remember receiving the email at the end of the school week and feeling quite relieved. I now have a good foundation of materials to start off the upcoming year, although my students this year enjoyed the products themselves. You do not know how much I appreciate your generosity. \r\n\r\nHaving the extra materials ensures that my students will have the necessary supplies needed for their daily work. During the Spring, we made beautiful flowers using the paper and the glue that you so kindly donated. We also used the paper to practice our writing skills. I included these pictures to show how much we appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your time and consideration in my recent project. Our new rocking chair for carpet time offers the kids an area to sit and share stories with their friends. The chair pouches allow the kids to store all their books and materials in a safe place so they are not on the floor or in anyone's way. The kids loved the new table caddies for their tables. It is exactly what I was looking for. The size works well and the color is very vibrant and inviting each and every day I teach. It's so nice to have a big enough carpet that allows 28 kiddos to learn on. \r\n I mentioned to my students how the person who bought us this rug used to leave here in town.
