In a school where many of our students face economic challenges outside the classroom, having access to snacks helps ensure that students are comfortable, focused, and ready to learn. Something as simple as a snack can make a big difference in a student's ability to concentrate and participate throughout the school day.\r\nOne of the most rewarding moments was watching students see the snacks for the first time. Their excitement was immediate! They were grateful to have something to enjoy during the school day, and it created a positive moment of connection in the classroom. For some students, knowing that a snack is available helps them feel supported and cared for, allowing them to put more of their attention toward learning.\r\n\r\nWe are also using snacks as incentives to encourage students to stay focused, work hard, participate, and reach their academic and personal goals. Students understand that their effort, perseverance, and positive choices are recognized and celebrated. These small incentives help create a classroom environment where students are motivated to challenge themselves and take pride in their accomplishments.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these incentives while working on lessons and projects that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and persistence. Students will have opportunities to set goals, track their progress, celebrate milestones, and encourage one another. Most importantly, we want them to understand that their circumstances do not define their potential. With support, encouragement, and determination, they can overcome challenges and accomplish their goals.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly grateful to our donors for helping make this possible.
