These resources are used daily in our classroom. When students begin to lose energy or come to school without breakfast, they are able to grab a quick snack and refocus on their work. One moment that stood out was when a student quietly asked if they could have something to eat because they had not eaten that morning. After having a snack, they were able to settle in and participate fully in class. Moments like that remind me how important it is to meet students' basic needs so they can focus on learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the snacks first arrived, the students were excited and very grateful. Many of them were surprised that people they have never met cared enough to support our classroom. It led to a great conversation about generosity and how people can help others in their community.\r\n\r\nAs we continue working on our classroom lessons and projects, students will keep benefiting from having access to these snacks throughout the day. Staying energized helps them stay focused during discussions, activities, and hands-on learning.
