The project was done over a one week period this past May. Students first covered their rocks with a base coat of acrylic paint. Then they used the fine tip acrylic paint pens to draw pictures, write inspirational words or quotes, or just decorate the rocks. Finally, the students sprayed their finished rocks with a sealer. The students also collaborated on two other accent pieces for the courtyard. They created two pots of rock succulents and they created a tic-tac-toe board using the rocks for the x's and o's. Creating a kindness rock garden and other items for our middle school courtyard was the perfect project for the end of this school year.
