The items that we've ordered for our room have helped to create a calming, welcoming environment for my students. The items helped me to create a space that allows my students comforts they might not get at home. The space is used during our individual and group mental health therapy/skills groups. Some of the items that were also purchased give the students a chance to show their creative side. \r\nMy students were very excited to have a comfortable place to center themselves and regroup when overstimulated in the classroom. They loved being able to create things by using the art supplies purchased. They expressed how calm and peaceful their new space felt.\r\nI hope to continue to provide a caring, warm space for my students to share their thoughts and feelings. A space that they know is judgement free and safe.
