It really took a lot of anxiety off of my classroom, myself, and my families to not have to buy snacks for quite a long time! The kids were beyond excited to see such a big selection, and I love that they're trying new healthy items! The math games that were purchased are also a big hit during math time, and they are much more engaging than my previous homemade games. The children of room 47 were overwhelmed with joy as the boxes just kept rolling in every day of new supplies. There eyes were wide and bright with cushions to sit on for community circle and partner work, real bandaids that actually fit their fingers, socks and gloves to keep their feet warm, white board erasers (that was a super HOT item), pencil sharpeners, new erasers that weren't from last year, and a brand new pencil for the essay they were just about to start! It was just the absolute best! They were thrilled and so grateful, and so am I. We also are so lucky to have the highlighters and wipes as it will be getting more muddy with the rain coming. If you didn't know, one of the best things in third grade is mini erasers, I give 2 out for each kid as Happy Friday, and wow, to see 800 come in, it was just the cherry on top. There are almost 0 arguments because there are many options for kids to choose and the games are much more collaborative.
