You have provided us with hair brushes, deodorant, body wipes, dental supplies, and dry shampoo-- all of this has been huge for our students and families. Now, we can ensure that all of our students, including the most vulnerable, have their basic hygiene needs met so they can focus on being the best scholars they can be. \r\n\r\nMost importantly, you have helped us reduce the barrier of shame that so many kids and families feel. When we can immediately offer helpful supplies without having to jump through extra hoops, hygiene supplies become less of a big, shameful deal for our students and families. Your support has made a significant impact on our Black Student Union. Thanks to you, we've been able to enjoy healthy snacks after school while connecting with others who share similar experiences. Our Black Student Union has been thriving, and we recently hosted a successful Black Family Night. During this event, we celebrated our musical contributions over the decades, participated in drumming lessons, welcomed a Black librarian, and created Black art together.\r\n\r\nIn addition to these activities, we've put your donations to excellent use by creating items to sale at our Beach School-wide store, where we use paw cards as currency. To promote these items and experiences, we made fun videos to get students excited about what they can purchase, such as the chance to pie a teacher in the face, watch a movie, have a water balloon fight, and much more!\r\n\r\nYour contribution has been invaluable in helping us strengthen our leadership skills and deepen our understanding of financial literacy. By engaging in these activities, we've been able to create a positive and engaging school environment where students are excited to shop at the student store.
