The students are enjoying using the game as a way to \" jump start\" their knowledge of the elements and principles of art. The game, which is made from hundreds of micro and macro images from nature, museums and everyday experiences allows the students to understand and work with pictures as examples of the elements of art and principles of design. \r\nSo far, the games have been utilized in Photo1, Art 1, Art 2 and advanced art classes. Students have been assigned into groups in order to place a collection of the cards in \" order\" based on a specific element of art ( Color, textures, shapes, forms etc). They are enjoying using the materials ! I wanted to share images of one of our first projects. The Art 2 students were each given a single sheet of paper, scissors, and glue. They had to create 10 ,3D objects from the single sheet. Once they had created the objects the students glued the pieces together to create a still life.
