The 6th grade students had a blast at Outdoor School. For many, this was the first time being away from home and going to camp. \r\n\r\nOur students had a fun time tie-dying their t-shirts. They really enjoyed being able to choose the colors they wanted from the great selection we had. They also loved that they each had their own water bottle for the experience and to take home with them.\r\n\r\nWe were able to pack all of our supplies into our new storage tubs and they were safe while at Outdoor School. With each student having their own backpack, they were able to pack their notebooks and water bottles around with them for each field study.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our project and our students! Our students were very excited to find new books in our growing library! Many of the books from this project have been checked out and read by our middle school students.\r\nA book can take you to a new place or time, and we are trying to cultivate the love of reading with all of our students. \r\nTwo days a week, we have a scheduled silent reading time where our students read from a chapter book or graphic novel. We want to promote positivity around reading and choice of title. Having these new titles available has made a big difference for many of our students. Our new hunting and sports books have been a hit with many of our boys.\r\nThank you again for your generosity!
