We have gotten so much use out of the materials from this project already. Our speech-language pathology assistants work with students every day, and having new prompting cards, low-tech AAC materials, Magna-Tiles, and other activities has given them so many more options for making therapy engaging and fun. The kids especially love when the Magna-Tiles come out. There are always big smiles, and they are such an easy way to get students excited to participate while we work on speech sounds, language, requesting, describing, turn-taking, and other communication skills.\r\n\r\nThese materials have been especially meaningful because we have very limited funding available for speech therapy materials through our schools. I have purchased so many things out of pocket over the years because having fun and motivating materials really does make a difference in therapy. Thanks to this project, our SLPAs now have a much bigger collection of resources to pull from, and our students get more variety in their sessions. The AAC materials have also been wonderful for giving us more ways to support students who are still learning how to communicate their wants, needs, ideas, and feelings.\r\n\r\nWe will continue using these materials throughout the school year with students of different ages and with many different communication needs. It has been so rewarding to see the kids excited about the activities and to know that these resources will be used again and again. Thank you for helping us make speech therapy a little more fun, engaging, and meaningful for our students.
