Instead of just the typical vinegar and baking soda experiments, they got to explore new materials like cornstarch with iodine and yeast mixed with sugar and water. The moment they saw these new supplies, you could feel their excitement in the room, they were so curious and eager to jump right in. It was amazing to watch their faces light up as they saw real chemical reactions happening right in front of them, and it made the learning feel so much more meaningful.\r\n\r\nThese new resources really took our basic science lessons to the next level. Instead of just memorizing facts, students started to understand why these reactions happen, making connections to things they see every day like fireworks or even the fact that air has weight. It was powerful to see them use evidence from the experiments to explain these ideas, which brought the science to life in a way I hadn't seen before. As the project went on, they even began designing their own experiments, testing their own ideas about chemical reactions, which helped them think like real scientists. I'm so grateful for your support because it made science exciting and accessible for my class in a whole new way.","fullyFundedDate":1746785434971,"projectUrl":"project/explosive-learning-hands-on-chemistry-f/9097301/","projectTitle":"Explosive Learning: Hands-On Chemistry for Future Scientists!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barr","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8974805_orig.jpg?crop=1426,1426,x0,y114&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701247077960","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8974805"},{"teacherId":563423,"projectId":8955490,"letterContent":"My students and I had such an amazing time learning about Ancient Egypt.
