Thanks to your generous support, my students now have consistent access to a classroom set of calculators, which has made a meaningful difference in their learning. In math class, calculators help students focus on understanding concepts and problem-solving strategies rather than getting stuck on lengthy computations. This allows students to check their work, explore patterns, and build confidence as they work through more complex problems. Having calculators readily available ensures that all students can fully participate in lessons and practice independently.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is having their own calculator to use during class activities. They feel more prepared and confident knowing they have the right tool to support their learning. Students enjoy using the calculators to test their thinking, verify answers, and work more efficiently during group work and independent practice. This access has reduced frustration and increased engagement, especially during challenging lessons.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who previously struggled with accuracy or confidence have especially benefited from this new resource. Students who need extra support are able to focus on understanding math concepts without feeling overwhelmed, while others use the calculators to extend their learning and tackle more advanced problems. Your generosity has helped create a more equitable and supportive math learning environment, and my students are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1755757082116,"projectUrl":"project/math-classroom-in-need-of-calculators/9570410/","projectTitle":"Math Classroom in Need of Calculators","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dixon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10166659_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754804729551","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10166659"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_88047","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1139,"numTeachers":59,"percentFrplEligible":87,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":75,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":8,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"19.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.5,"schoolId":88047,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Lebanon High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Lebanon High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oregon/lebanon-community-school-district-9/lebanon-high-school/88047"}
