We have used if for many science labs when temperature deviations are needed to quickly have ice available alongside the heating containers we already had.\r\n\r\nMy sixth grade students have been studying weather and climate. We created cloud models by using ice to help condense particles of hairspray. Students created convection currents using blue colored ice and red colored hot water. Because I was able to have the ice maker right there in my classroom, every table group for all my six classes throughout the day could participate directly. \r\n\r\nI had colleagues needing ice for science labs and they were so excited that they could borrow the ice makers to also be ale to have ice for labs all day long. This gift has been one of the most useful new item I have had in my classroom in a long time.
