On behalf of the staff and students at Mill Park I would like to thank each and every one of you for your donation. Each year our regulation room continues to get better and serve more students. The impact it has had on our school is one I would hope every school can experience. Giving kids a safe place to come regulate their emotions and get back to the green zone is something all school should have. Our school has felt so much more calm this year and I attribute part of that to this room.\r\n\r\nThe looks on the kids faces were amazing! Every time they see something new they absolutely light up. It is fun to see which items kids really gravitate toward and is constantly giving us ideas on how to continue to make this room better.\r\n\r\nEverything from the flexible seating, to the hands on sensory items, to the gross motor sensory items have been a huge hit in helping regulate students. All kids are different and have different needs and it is our goal to have this room be accessible and meaningful for all students! So thank you for being a part of this journey and believing in us and public education.","fullyFundedDate":1736367169620,"projectUrl":"project/little-regulators-part-2/8958969/","projectTitle":"Little Regulators (Part 2)","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fischer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/amanda-fischer1"},{"teacherId":1554802,"projectId":9113429,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous contribution that made it possible to purchase an interactive whiteboard and accompanying stand for my classroom.\r\n\r\nYour impact is profoundly felt each and every day as I display lessons on the screen. This project in particular allowed me to create the most important space in our classroom...our Calming Corner. When the students first arrived and saw their colorful new book boxes they were smiling from ear to ear and were eager to organize all their materials in one place. \r\n\r\nStudents are now able to keep all of their learning tools in one spot, which cuts down on students being unable to locate what they need during the schoolday. Each book box contains: a white board, clipboard, math folder, reading/writing folder and a work in progress folder. Students also keep their reading group book in their book box, as well as their headphones, a mini student clock and a bag of fake coins. Over the holidays, our book boxes even held our special projects and kept them organized ands safe!\r\n\r\nOur class had multiple students who were frequently unable to locate things like their math packet, yesterday's writing, headphones to use with their Chromebooks and their reading materials to bring to small group time.
