The resources that were provided have truly leveled up our literacy practices!\r\n\r\nThe largest item in this project, the double sided white boards, have boosted confidence and accuracy with a phonics practice known as dictation. It allows students to hear a word, break down its sounds, and then write the word. The hearing-reading-writing connection is so important! Since adding the whiteboards, I have had students who started the year unable to recognize letter be able to write words like \"might\" \"gave\" and \"stir\" - this is a HUGE DEAL for 1st grade!
