Thanks to your donations I have been able to see a need and meet it, across the whole school. Each grade level has benefited from your generous donations, and I want to thank you with a little bit of information about the impact these items have had.\r\n\r\nHelping set students up for individual educational success starts with making the field more level, more equitable. The daily demands of sitting quietly and calmly are a lot for some students and this can get in the way of their ability to access learning and social opportunities. Providing the wobble seat cushions, and chair bounce bands seems like a small way to impact a student's school experience, but I can tell you, that I have had many students and adult tell me how thankful they are that I am able to offer these resources, and that they have seen how helpful these tools are. Using our privacy offices/dividers has helped students to work on growing their skill confidence in the classroom, without the added pressure of what others are up to. Kids are so concerned with how they are perceived by their peers, so having access to so many dividers/privacy offices has allowed my students to remove a major potential stressors from their school day.\r\n\r\nSound is another big thing I focused on for my donors choose project. While I am still working on the completion of our sound boards for the cafeteria, I can share the design in this thank you package. My hope is to finish this project over spring break as it now entails me building new stability aspects for the existing sound panels. In the meantime, headphones went out the day they arrived and I see students wearing them on a daily basis and I know that more students than headphones available ask for them daily at lunch.\r\n\r\nAs a 504 coordinator it is a requirement that I provide resources to qualifying students, as a counselor, it is my pleasure and honor to provide assistance to ALL OF STUDENTS when I am able to, and thank to you all, I was able to provide support beyond what I could have possibly imagined.
