A special favorite has been the \"Food Group\" books that I have used to teach summarizing and character development. It made my teacher heart melt seeing how many students checked out the same book and others from not just our class library, but our school library after using The Bad Seed and The Good Egg as mentor texts! The aha moments, rich collaborative discussion, and connections students made once reading was engaging has been a beautiful thing to witness! \r\n\r\nIt has been heartwarming seeing every new book get picked up and loved by different personalities. I have natural readers enjoying reading some of their favorite titles repetitively, and budding readers sharing photos and connections from our new Ada Twist collection! \r\n\r\nHaving these new and exciting titles has also made our read and relax time not only more enjoyable, but an event students look forward to and ask for more of!
