I teach in a small town where a lot of the parents would love to be able to support the classroom more, but financially, they can't. When I first saw that you'd given to this project, I felt so supported and appreciated. To know that strangers have supported my classroom and all my efforts, has just made me feel so seen and appreciated! \r\n\r\nThe day our boxes arrived, there was such an energy in our classroom. As box after box came in, the students were so excited. They helped me unbox our chairs and set them up. Students couldn't wait to use our new comfy chairs! Now we use them every single day. When students are reading a book, they take turns getting to sit in them. I think when they're sitting in these new chairs, they're able to relax and read in a different way–getting more involved in a book that they're reading. As a matter of fact, I've had 2 students curl up with a good book and get so involved in their story, they didn't even realize that it was time to go to recess! I love this!\r\n\r\nFinally, I so appreciate your generosity in that it has been an amazing example for my\r\nstudents. We've had some great conversations about how people we don't even know have supported us. I know that this has meant a lot to my students and is such a great example for them. Hopefully, as they grow up, they'll look for ways to help others in need.","fullyFundedDate":1733283282597,"projectUrl":"project/comfy-reading-area/8699667/","projectTitle":"Comfy Reading Area!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nuttall","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9704981_orig.jpg?crop=593,594,x0,y23&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755132351843","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9704981"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_87543","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":249,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"8.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":82.4,"schoolId":87543,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Brooklyn Primary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Brooklyn Primary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oregon/baker-school-district-5j/brooklyn-elementary-school/87543"}
