With every class there are different interests and activities that they gravitate to. As a teacher having the ability to think outside the box and find lessons and materials to help your students grow and flourish, there are no words for. \r\nWith your gracious gift I have been able to teach my class about teamwork and problem solving when we made mazes. We learned how to shade pumpkins when we did an instruction drawing. Then for Columbus Day we were able to learn about the impact that he made. My class has not heard of any of these books, but are extremely excited to get started reading them. We just had a conversation about how when we read books we get to decide how to fill in the blanks and make a movie in our head. Being able to imagine while we read is something that most of my class has been missing out on, and now I am going to be able to help them learn that they can go anywhere with a book and a little imagination. Thank you so much for helping my class and classes to come find their wings so they can go anywhere they want with a good book.","fullyFundedDate":1746786094766,"projectUrl":"project/take-me-someplace-new/9310905/","projectTitle":"Take Me Someplace New!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bond","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8577177_orig.jpg?crop=2844,2844,x843,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674244835694","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8577177"},{"teacherId":8577177,"projectId":9065795,"letterContent":"We have had so much fun, and learned so much with the hydroponics system and the the green houses! From the moment that the boxes started showing up in the classroom everyone was excited and couldn't wait to get started. With the unboxing the hydroponics system there were many strange looks because they couldn't figure out how it all went together. With the green houses many of my students were encouraged because they felt that it was something they could do and had seen before.\r\n\r\nWe started off with learning about the parts of a plant and getting to see one dissected. Then we planted our pods for the hydroponics and the green houses. We were thinking that the seeds that were planted in the hydroponics would take off and grow much quicker than the greenhouses, we were wrong. The hydroponics has been a very good learning experience for all of us in many ways. Probably one of the best lessons learned for my class is that it is ok to be wrong and its ok if something doesn't workout like you expected.\r\n\r\nThank you for your support in this learning adventure.","fullyFundedDate":1738799659540,"projectUrl":"project/i-can-grow-that-/9065795/","projectTitle":"I Can Grow That !","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bond","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8577177_orig.jpg?crop=2844,2844,x843,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1674244835694","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8577177"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_87537","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":206,"numTeachers":18,"percentFrplEligible":79,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":60,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":33,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"11.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":76.8,"schoolId":87537,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Horace Mann Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Horace Mann Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/woodward-public-schools/horace-mann-elementary-school/87537"}
