My students use it to practice letter sounds, phonics, sight words, counting, and early reading and math skills through interactive learning activities. It gives students another way to practice important skills independently and allows me to provide activities that meet students at their individual learning levels.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is that learning feels like play! They love being able to interact with the lessons by touching, listening, matching, and solving problems on the screen. The iPad has made practicing skills that can sometimes feel challenging much more engaging and exciting.\r\n\r\nI have also seen students who are hesitant to participate in whole-group activities become much more confident when working with the iPad. Some students especially enjoy the independence it gives them. They can work at their own pace, receive immediate feedback, and celebrate their successes without feeling like they are being compared to their classmates.\r\n\r\nBecause of this generous donation, my students now have an additional opportunity to learn, practice, and build confidence every day. This iPad is more than a piece of technology in our classroom.
