Because of your generosity, my students have been able to experience hands-on learning in a way that truly prepares them for real-world technology skills.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the drones, students have been actively using them as part of our Fundamentals of Technology drone unit. One of the most exciting moments was watching students complete their first guided flights after learning about drone hardware, safety, and controls. They worked through stations identifying parts like propellers, motors, sensors, and cameras, and then applied that knowledge during flight practice. Seeing them make the connection between what they learned and what they could actually do was incredible.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the drones, they were beyond excited. Many of them had never had the opportunity to interact with this type of technology before. It immediately increased engagement, and even students who are usually quiet were asking questions, participating, and eager to try.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students are continuing to build their skills by working on more advanced flight challenges, learning about FAA safety regulations, and preparing for opportunities to earn their drone certification. They are also working on projects where they plan, document, and reflect on their flights, helping them build both technical and critical thinking skills.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a real impact in our classroom. Thank you for giving our students an opportunity they wouldn't otherwise have.","fullyFundedDate":1762206827538,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-drones-to-life-in-the-classroom/9577250/","projectTitle":"Bringing Drones to Life in the Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Manning","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp836570_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1524508673579","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/daniellemanning"},{"teacherId":836570,"projectId":9577330,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of our new label printer. Your support is making a real difference in our classroom, and we truly appreciate your investment in our students.\r\n\r\nMany of our donors use technology at home, but may not always see how it's used in schools. In our classroom, this label printer is helping students build real-world business and technology skills. Students are designing, organizing, and producing professional-quality labels for projects, which ties directly into lessons on branding, product development, and organization. It allows them to see their ideas come to life in a tangible way.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting for students is the ability to create something that looks \"real.\" Whether they are labeling products for a class project or organizing materials, they take pride in using equipment that mirrors what businesses use every day. It has definitely increased engagement and creativity.\r\n\r\nI've also seen several students really connect with this technology—especially those who enjoy hands-on learning. Some students who may not always stand out in traditional assignments have taken the lead when it comes to designing and printing labels. It has given them confidence and a new way to showcase their skills.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom and helping provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for our students.
