Thanks to your support, my students no longer have to sit on the cold concrete floor—each day, they gather comfortably on the soft carpet for lessons, activities, and reading time. The improved classroom environment has fostered a greater sense of community and warmth, making our space more welcoming and conducive to learning.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new carpets, their faces lit up with excitement and joy. It's now a favorite spot for collaborative projects and reading, and the cleaning supplies ensure we can maintain a healthy, safe classroom for everyone. Your gifts have had an immediate, positive impact on our daily routines and have made learning more enjoyable for all.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll continue to use these resources as we work on group projects and creative lessons this year. All of the materials were welcomed immediately and quickly put into use. Students began to work on their projects and were thrilled to be able to illustrate and use markers to color. It just makes everything so much brighter. I would say students were even more excited to have access to a laminator to make sure their projects could last for a long time. Not to mention, the lamination film made their projects even brighter than before. \r\n\r\nStudents proudly hung their projects in the hallways for other students to see. It was fun to watch them boldly claim their project to classmates and teachers. These resources will be used throughout the school year. When students are finished with their work, they will ask to read our new books. It is always so neat to see which books are the most read — it's the books that reinforce what skills we are learning in our Social Studies class. A Street Through Time is the most requested book because it takes students on a journey through 12,000 years of life. The detail is unmatched and students enjoy seeing similarities and differences to life today. \r\n I love reading, so finding children's literature that aligned with our standards was really important to me. Our textbook leaves out a lot of important information and our new book selection helps to fill in the areas that are lacking. \r\n I feel like students are never too for a read aloud. Picture books are always a hit with students because it allows them to see just how much things have progressed. I love hearing connections that students can make from the past to their lives. Read aloud days are fun with 5th graders!","fullyFundedDate":1746787351338,"projectUrl":"project/history-buffs-in-the-making/9282759/","projectTitle":"History Buffs in the Making","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bergner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7997289_orig.jpg?crop=1199,1199,x0,y95&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746134346161","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/madison-bergner"},{"teacherId":7997289,"projectId":9282009,"letterContent":"What an honor it is to have your partnership in my classroom. We are nearly one month into a new school year and the air purifier has been such a game changer for our class! I have the air purifier going during the entire day. Then, at the end of the day I turn it on high, turn the timer on, and let it run to clean the air overnight so that we walk into a fresh classroom each morning. \r\n The sanitizer has also been so nice to have. Sickness in a school is inevitable, but I feel good about my desks, chairs, and supplies staying nice and clean for my students.
