The materials you helped provide have already made a difference in simple but meaningful ways. The two large round cushions have been perfect for flexible seating—my students love using them during reading time, partner work, and small groups. It's a small change that's helped them feel more comfortable and focused.\r\n\r\nWe've also used the stickers and small party favors as incentives for teamwork, leadership, and outstanding effort. The kids get so excited to earn them, and it's turned into a great motivator during our week.\r\n\r\nOne item has made a quiet but important impact—the little cloud breathing lamp. While it hasn't changed our whole classroom, it has made a big difference for one particular student who uses it to calm down and feel more in control when emotions run high. That alone has made it worth it.\r\n\r\nThank you again for giving my students tools that support their learning and well-being. Because of your kindness, my students now have their very own journals to use during our daily social-emotional learning (SEL) Community Circle time!\r\n\r\nEach morning, these journals help my students reflect on their feelings, set personal goals, and build empathy and connection with one another. What was once a short morning check-in has transformed into a meaningful space where students feel seen, heard, and supported. They are learning to express themselves thoughtfully, listen to their peers, and recognize that their voices matter. \r\n\r\nThe simple act of writing has become a powerful tool for growth in our classrooms- and it's all thanks to you! Your donation didn't just provide supplies; it gave my students a daily opportunity to build emotional awareness, self-confidence, and a stronger sense of community. \r\n\r\nFrom all of us- thank you for believing in the importance of social-emotional learning and for investing in our classrooms' well-being. They are able to work on their English language skills, while playing and forming bonds with their friends during the first weeks of school.\r\n\r\nI put together the blocks over the weekend, and when they were able to play with them for the first time today (along with the soft animals) they had the ultimate look on their faces, pure joy! The amazing dollhouse is a highly sought after center, since only 2 people can go at a time and my students are learning such great languages skills while playing with it! \r\n\r\nThe baby dolls in the home living area are a big hit, as well as all the dress up items. They wanted to help me get them on the shelves immediately. Since their arrival almost every new book has been checked out from our class library. The Dog Man books have been especially popular. I have 3 students who have read every copy we received already. The Cranky Chicken series has also been very popular. One of my students read the entire book out loud to her friends at recess. \r\n\r\nI have loved seeing many students practicing the skills we have learned in class such as making predictions, identifying story elements such as the main character and conflict, and using the books they chose from our new selection. What makes me even more proud that this project was funded is that my students are the ones who recommend the books that were listed in this project. I am so blessed to see students light up when finding a book that interests them and makes them want to tell others about it.
