These resources will make a meaningful difference in our special education classroom by giving students hands-on ways to learn, move, communicate, self-regulate, and build confidence.\r\n\r\nThe scarves and basketballs will provide opportunities for movement, coordination, turn-taking, cooperation, and positive social interaction. Many of my students benefit from movement throughout the school day, and these activities will give them appropriate ways to stay active while practicing important skills such as following directions, taking turns, and working with others.\r\n\r\nThe scooter balance board will give students opportunities to work on balance, coordination, body awareness, and gross-motor skills. These activities can also provide a positive movement break for students who need a chance to reset before returning to academic tasks.\r\n\r\nThe visual timers will be especially helpful for students who have difficulty with attention, transitions, and understanding how long they are expected to work. A visual countdown provides a concrete reminder of how much time is left, helping students prepare for transitions and remain focused on tasks. Instead of repeatedly asking how much longer they have, students can independently check the timer and better manage their time.\r\n\r\nThe calm-down tent will provide a safe, quiet space where students can take a brief break when they feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or overstimulated. It will help us teach students that taking a break is an appropriate strategy and give them a place to practice calming techniques before returning to learning.\r\n\r\nFinally, the LCD writing boards will give students an engaging and low-pressure way to practice writing, spelling, math problems, sight words, and classroom responses. Students can quickly write, erase, and try again, making them especially useful for repeated practice and students who may become frustrated by mistakes.\r\n\r\nThese materials are more than classroom supplies—they are tools that will help my students learn how to learn. They will encourage independence, self-regulation, movement, communication, and perseverance while making our classroom a more welcoming and supportive place for every learner.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping me provide them with opportunities to move, learn, regulate, practice, and succeed. Your generosity will have an impact far beyond a single lesson—it will help my students build skills they can use throughout their school day and beyond.","fullyFundedDate":1786394540658,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-tools-for-peaceful-learning/10465234/","projectTitle":"Sensory Tools for Peaceful Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Loving","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6326509"},{"teacherId":6543287,"projectId":8338682,"letterContent":"With your help, we have created new engaging listening center.
