Because of your support, our learning environment has been transformed in ways that directly impact both the comfort and curiosity of my students.\r\n\r\nThe new light covers have made a remarkable difference. Many of my students are sensitive to bright fluorescent lighting, and the softer illumination has created a calmer, more welcoming atmosphere which has helped students focus better, feel more at ease and engage more fully in their work. Our classroom now feels like a space where they can think, breathe and learn comfortably. \r\n\r\nThe skeleton models you funded have quickly become a favorite hands-on tool during our science lessons. Instead of relying solely on pictures in a textbook, students can now explore anatomy up close by identifying bones and making connections between structure and function. These models spark curiosity and make complex concepts far more tangible and exciting.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only provided materials, it has also elevated the learning experience. My students feel valued, supported and inspired because people like you believe in their potential. On behalf of our entire class, thank you for making such a meaningful impact. I sincerely haven't had students so excited about reading in a very long time! \r\n\r\nI've been teaching for over twenty years, and most of that time has been in Special Education. Math is my strong suit; teaching reading and learning to doing so effectively has been quite the journey. About four years ago, I was blessed when my district adopted a program called \"Really Great Reading,\" specifically to use with students who need extra support. This program has been life changing! \r\n\r\nWe can now decode words, and with your generous donation we can apply these hard earned skills to books that all of our friends can also find in our library. Most of these books are graphic novels which means we take turns playing different characters while using our voice acting skills! Another bonus is that most have characters that are easy to draw. A couple of students have already branched out to create their own versions of story lines with these characters. \r\n\r\nI can't wait until we're ready to introduce learning Chess. Many students used to struggle with regulating their emotions in the mid-morning, with hunger being a leading cause. This impacted our learning environment in a negative way. Student would interrupt my teaching to ask for snacks, get verbally upset if I did not have extra, and ask to go to the nurse to get crackers and miss instruction time. Everyone was disrupted in some way from this morning cycle. After seeing this pattern and realizing the hours between breakfast and lunch were significant for young growing bodies, I asked you, donors, for help.\r\n\r\nYou truly came to our rescue in providing the funding for our mid-morning hunger pangs. Students look forward to this time everyday. We have a routine for me calling students to make a choice and getting them distributed each day without disrupting our work time. Complaints of hunger this time of day have nearly disappeared (unless it is someone reminding me that it is snack time). The students have been very respectful of the process and are verbally and behaviorally thankful each day. We appreciate you!
