With these new diverse books and sturdy shelves, students are building essential skills like comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking—our English Language Learners are gaining confidence through meaningful language exposure, while advanced readers are engaging in deeper analysis and rich discussions. Reading now looks active and student-centered, with students independently choosing \"just right\" books, collaborating in small groups, and exploring stories that reflect both their own identities and new perspectives. I've already seen students who were once hesitant become excited to read and share, while others are challenging themselves with more complex texts and leading conversations. Most importantly, these resources have helped foster a strong sense of belonging, engagement, and a lifelong love of reading in our classroom.
