We are using it to explore colors, shapes, patterns, counting, and early math skills in a hands-on and engaging way. One special moment was watching the children use translucent shapes on the light table to create their own colorful designs. They worked together to sort the shapes by color and size, count how many they had, and then create pictures and patterns. They were excited to see how the light made the colors glow and overlap in new ways. It turned a simple activity into an opportunity for creativity, problem-solving, and learning together. The students were so excited and curious when they first saw the light table! Their faces lit up as they discovered that the materials looked different when placed on the glowing surface. They immediately wanted to touch, explore, and experiment. We heard lots of, \"Look at this!\" and \"What happens if I put this one here?\" Their natural curiosity led them to explore independently while also sharing discoveries with their classmates. Our next steps are to continue using the light table as part of our lessons on shapes, colors, patterns, and early math concepts. We will encourage students to create and extend patterns, sort and count objects, compare sizes, and use the materials to design pictures and tell stories. We are also excited to connect the light table to our literacy and science activities by exploring shadows, light, transparency, and how objects change when light shines through them.
