The students were both surprised and excited to learn that we would be using our chairs within the first week of school. While working on a slideshow to tell about themselves, students spread out on our patio and got right to work. \r\n\r\nI was excited to see that when students needed inspiration, all they had to do was pick up their heads and look out at the landscape. Many of them wrote goals for learning this year. Some even included getting the opportunity to get outside and continue to learn in this environment.\r\n\r\nBoth of my principals and the assistant superintendent each made a stop to see what we were working on. Next week, students will get outside and use the space to read a story together. Other teachers have commented that they would like to share the chairs as well.
