Because of you, my students now have access to a variety of seating options that better meet their individual learning needs. From wobble balls to floor cushions, students are choosing spaces that help them stay focused and engaged. One of my favorite moments was during our small group reading rotations students were not only more comfortable, but they were also able to sustain attention longer and participate more confidently in discussions. It has truly transformed the way learning looks and feels in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first walked in and saw the new seating, their excitement was immediate and unforgettable. There were smiles, gasps, and so many eager questions about how they could use each option. They quickly took ownership of the space, learning how to make responsible choices about where they learn best. It has been incredible to see even my most active learners settle in and thrive with seating that supports their bodies and minds.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are continuing to build independence and stamina during literacy and math centers using our flexible seating. Students are currently working on collaborative projects, including partner reading and hands-on math problem solving, where choice and comfort play a big role in their success. Thanks to your generosity, my classroom is becoming a space where all learners feel empowered, supported, and excited to learn each day.","fullyFundedDate":1769177232146,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-needed-in-first-grade/9774167/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating needed in First Grade!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gray","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6112194_orig.png?crop=1024,1024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1772036109051","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6112194"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_83806","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":505,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":82,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":69,"percentWhite":10,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":11,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"19.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":78.0,"schoolId":83806,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rowland Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rowland Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/south-euclid-lyndhurst-city-sd/rowland-elementary-school/83806"}
