My third graders can practice the skills we are learning in class through interactive activities, while I can use their work and progress to determine who needs additional instruction and who is ready for a greater challenge. It has also been especially valuable when students are absent because they can access lessons and assignments digitally without falling behind.\r\n\r\nMy students are most excited about the interactive nature of the technology. They enjoy being able to work independently, see their progress, and immediately know whether they are on the right track. Students who are sometimes hesitant to participate during traditional math activities have really embraced the opportunity to practice privately and try again when they make a mistake. At the same time, my more advanced students enjoy being able to move ahead and challenge themselves. Students use the technology to access digital math lessons, practice activities, and assignments that provide immediate feedback. This allows students to recognize and correct mistakes while they are learning rather than waiting for a teacher to grade their work. It also allows me to monitor student progress and quickly identify students who need additional support or students who are ready for enrichment.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is the ability to interact with their learning instead of simply completing a worksheet. They enjoy the immediate feedback, interactive activities, and the opportunity to practice skills at their own pace. The technology also allows students to continue practicing skills at home, giving families another way to support their child's learning.\r\n\r\nStudents who have struggled with math have especially benefited from the technology. The ability to receive immediate feedback and try problems again helps take away some of the frustration that can come with making mistakes. Students who are more confident in math also enjoy the opportunity to challenge themselves and move on to more difficult activities. Because of you, my students now have access to a variety of seating options that better meet their individual learning needs. From wobble balls to floor cushions, students are choosing spaces that help them stay focused and engaged. One of my favorite moments was during our small group reading rotations students were not only more comfortable, but they were also able to sustain attention longer and participate more confidently in discussions. It has truly transformed the way learning looks and feels in our classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first walked in and saw the new seating, their excitement was immediate and unforgettable. There were smiles, gasps, and so many eager questions about how they could use each option. They quickly took ownership of the space, learning how to make responsible choices about where they learn best. It has been incredible to see even my most active learners settle in and thrive with seating that supports their bodies and minds.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are continuing to build independence and stamina during literacy and math centers using our flexible seating. Students are currently working on collaborative projects, including partner reading and hands-on math problem solving, where choice and comfort play a big role in their success.
