In our inclusive preschool classroom, every child is valued, and this project has helped us create more opportunities for students of all abilities to learn, communicate, and play together each day. The new building toys, magnetic-style construction materials, dramatic play items, and sensory supports have quickly become some of the most loved parts of our classroom.\r\n\r\nOne of our students' absolute favorite additions has been the Engineer-A-Coaster Activity Kit. Students work together to design ramps and pathways, practicing problem-solving, teamwork, and early engineering skills while cheering each other on as they test their creations. It has been amazing to watch students communicate ideas, take turns, and celebrate success together. The Brain Flakes have also sparked incredible creativity. Students building, towers, vehicles, and imaginative creations while strengthening fine motor skills and learning persistence through trial and error.\r\n\r\nThe Ocean Reef Building Toys arrived just in time for our ocean theme, and students have loved creating underwater worlds, habitats, and imaginative sea adventures. Our dramatic play center also got a wonderful refresh with the Melissa & Doug Wooden Frozen Treats Ice Cream Play Set, which helped us restock our ice cream cart. Students immediately began taking turns as customers and workers, practicing communication, social interaction, counting, and cooperative play.\r\n\r\nThe animal figurines have been especially valuable in our sensory bins and small group activities. Students use the dinosaurs, ocean animals, zoo animals, and farm animals to tell stories, sort by category, build habitats, and engage in sensory exploration. These materials have encouraged language development, imaginative play, and meaningful peer interaction across the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were beyond excited! Their faces lit up with curiosity and joy as they explored all the new possibilities. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using these materials during our thematic units,, STEM exploration, sensory activities, and social-emotional learning lessons. Students are already beginning more collaborative building challenges, storytelling activities, and imaginative play experiences that encourage communication, creativity, and confidence.
