Your generosity has made such a positive impact on our students.\r\n\r\nWe use the dolls daily during our Baby Doll Circle Time, which is part of our Conscious Discipline routine. During this time, each student holds a doll while we practice gentle touch, eye contact, and caring behaviors like rocking, hugging, and speaking kindly. One special moment happened during our first circle when a student carefully rocked their doll and said, \"It's okay, baby,\" just like we practice when we comfort each other in our classroom. It was a wonderful example of students learning empathy and kindness through play.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the dolls, they were very excited. Many of them immediately wanted to hold one, and they were eager to take care of them. They loved choosing a doll and gently rocking or cuddling it. It quickly became a favorite part of our daily routine.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using the dolls during Baby Doll Circle Time to strengthen our classroom community and practice important social-emotional skills. Students are learning how to be gentle, how to comfort others, and how to show kindness. These skills are so important as they learn how to care for one another and work together throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for supporting our students. Your generosity has added an exciting hands-on learning experience for my students.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the light table during center time for math and exploration activities. One fun moment happened when students used the colorful shapes to create patterns across the glowing surface. They carefully arranged the pieces in repeating patterns and worked together to decide what shape or color should come next. Another group used the number blocks with LEGO pieces, counting out the correct number of blocks to match each number. The light made the materials even more engaging and helped keep the students focused on their work.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the light table, they were immediately excited and curious. They gathered around to see how the shapes and blocks looked when the light shined through them. Many students couldn't wait for their turn at the center and were amazed at how bright and colorful everything looked.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using the light table to support math and problem-solving skills. Students will keep practicing patterns, counting, sorting, and building with the manipulatives. We also plan to introduce more activities with shapes, numbers, and letters so students can continue exploring while strengthening their early math and fine motor skills.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom and helping provide meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1769442200278,"projectUrl":"project/light-up-little-minds/9979889/","projectTitle":"Light Up Little Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Byrne","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10395021_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767325124279","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10395021"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_85377","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":444,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":16,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":49.1,"schoolId":85377,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Paulding Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Paulding Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/paulding-exempted-village-school-district/paulding-elementary-school/85377"}
