We use the headphones during reading programs, educational videos, and online learning platforms that help strengthen skills such as vocabulary, reading comprehension, and math practice. Having their own headphones allows students to focus on the lesson and work independently while still receiving instruction that meets their individual learning needs.\r\n\r\nThe students were very excited when they first received the headphones. Many of them immediately asked when they could start using them. What they enjoy most is being able to clearly hear the stories, instructions, and interactive activities during their online learning time. The headphones help them stay focused and make the experience feel more personal and engaging. It has been wonderful to see how excited they are to participate in lessons that use technology.\r\n\r\nSome of my students who need extra support in reading have especially benefited from the headphones. They are able to listen closely to passages being read aloud and replay instructions when needed, which helps build confidence and independence. These resources are helping create a classroom environment where every student can learn at their own pace. With the hats, glasses, and bells you helped provide, we were able to bring our \"Student in the Mirror\" activity to life. During this project, students stood in front of a mirror and shared positive affirmations about themselves while wearing the accessories. This helped them see themselves as leaders, thinkers, and future changemakers. It was a powerful moment watching students look at their reflection and speak proudly about who they are and who they want to become.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were excited and eager to participate. Many of them immediately wanted to try on the hats and glasses and ring the bells as they shared their affirmations. The classroom was filled with smiles, laughter, and confidence as students encouraged one another. It created a positive and uplifting environment where every student felt valued and celebrated.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue building on this experience by connecting our Black History lessons to discussions about leadership, perseverance, and self-confidence. Students will reflect on historical figures who made an impact and think about how they can make a difference in their own communities.
