Your support has made a significant impact on our book club.\r\n\r\nI chose to start with the title \"Harbor Me\" by Jacqueline Woodson. The students thoroughly enjoyed the book and looked forward to each weekly meeting. They engaged in meaningful discussions and shared their thoughts with the group. Each student also kept a journal and were prompted to reflect on what they read each week and write down any questions they had for the group. \r\n\r\nAlong with group discussions we also did several activities. One activity included finding articles from the newspaper or a magazine that included one of the themes from the book such as immigration or police brutality. This enforced with the students the relevance of the book and how these issues are affecting the community today. Each student summarized the article and discussed how it related to the text. \r\nYour contribution has not only provided them with valuable reading material but also fostered a sense of community and a love for literature. They are looking forward to the next book. \r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and support.
