I took over the 8th grade this year and many students said they have done very few or no experiments throughout their schooling. We have been fortunate to be able to do one a week so far thabks to donations from people like you. \r\n \r\nWe used the rollar coasters to demonstrate force and motion by adding weights to the cars. We also learned about the types of energy such as potential and kinetic energy using this. \r\n\r\n5th grade has also been able to use this material for their owb experiments. Once we were finished we lent them the kit and they enjoyed building it as well. They are illustrated at times, and full of agency - their own thoughts, their own ideas, and then they leave them for me, if they want, and I will go through and edit spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure for them. Or I will respond to a message.\r\n\r\nI had so many beautiful paintings to share from the paint, but they only let me send 10. When they use the paints, that is their time. They get 1 or 2 pieces of paper and a reminder to be gentle with the paints and be sure they are capped tightly.
