Each morning, the students write their sentences when they arrive so they can go to science center. \r\n\r\nThey documented the growth of caterpillars and the changes of the chrysalis right up until Winter Break. Due to the break I posted daily videos of the butterflies hatching and when we came back to school, the butterflies came with me.\r\n\r\nThe Motion, and Magnet centers a wonderfully interactive way for the students to problem solve with hands on goals as they think about physics - trajectories, magnetism, force, direction, and their solutions have been creative and effective.\r\n\r\nThe rocks and fossils have given them hands on experience with reading, identification, documentation and other important science skills combined with awe at our natural world and the history of life on our planet.\r\n\r\nWith the microscope, the students have had the chance to look closely at the bits and pieces of plants and animals which has started conversations about what things are made of and they continue to be amazed that there are jobs out there where people get paid to look at rocks, to examine life, to work in laboratories, or examine insects. \r\n\r\nAll of this is only possible with your donation.
