I have learned a lot as my original project changed into something else that still made a huge impact on the preschool students I work with. With your generous donations, I was able to purchase a static communication device called the Go Talk 4 Lite. This device is activated by a light touch of the button. This was a key feature for one of my students who has limited motor skills. She has been using the device to express herself functionally to greet, ask for help, tell me when she is ready to \"go,\" and say \"more\" and \"all done.\" Giving her a voice and a way to express herself has been truly impactful. I also used donations to purchase color changing lizards for my language group on the Chameleon for our reptile unit. The preschoolers absolutely LOVED these lizards and the teachers I work with wanted to order their own. The children made predictions on what color the lizards would turn and then we put them in water to see if our predictions came true. It was a really fun and engaging way for me to work on making sentences, using descriptors and to be able to introduce parts of the scientific method to these young learners.
