The excitement in their eyes was really something to see as we opened all the boxes! I ordered mainly books to enhance my classrooms culture. Many of my students are dealing with really big emotions. They have been through so much in their little lives. Many are in foster care and have witnessed or been a part of abuse. Due to this, they have difficulty controlling their emotions. These books have been so helpful. They have characters that look just like them and they can relate too. Many of the books are about the issues they have daily. This includes, bullying, anger, fitting in, being accepted and many more. They love these books and keep asking for them to be read over and over. I have come up with lesson plans for each book and have shared them with my team of teachers. These books will be used for years to come to help students regulate their social and emotional well being. Words can not thank you enough for what you have done for my class. You will have a lasting effect on the students I teach year after year, and for that I am very thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1741099914893,"projectUrl":"project/we-have-a-voice/8985062/","projectTitle":"We have a Voice!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Krutko","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9854055_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740871968307","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9854055"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_83737","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":481,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":89,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":3,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"18.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.3,"schoolId":83737,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about J.F.
