Our Winter Concert would not have been successful if not for your donations for our percussion instruments.\r\n\r\nMy percussion students were so excited to see that we received these brand new instruments, and we didn't have to try to find lower quality alternatives for our concert. We did not have any of these instruments prior to this project, and they are vital to the success of a full band.\r\n\r\nI saw this impact my entire band, not just my percussionists, at our Winter Concert, and during class every day. My percussionists were able to play the high-quality instruments with ease, and the other students were able to hear them clearly and gain confidence that they were playing to a successful tempo.\r\n\r\nThe instrument that was the most valuable for a Winter Concert was, of course, the Sleigh Bells. You can't play Jingle Bells OR Sleigh Ride without those bells! Also, our new Shaker was used in our performance of a song called African Noel.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these donations is impossible to overstate. When I got the email that this project had been fully funded, I was so so excited. My district is woefully underfunded, but, with your generous donation, my students get to have top-of-the-line instruments that will last us for years.","fullyFundedDate":1759264890618,"projectUrl":"project/hit-it-percussion-instruments-for-midd/9753955/","projectTitle":"Hit It! The materials in this project helped me create a more welcoming and organized classroom environment for my students. \r\n\r\nAfter receiving these materials, I was able to label them with student names to provide easy ways to keep their band music organized. This also meant that I didn't have to make as many copies of the supplemental materials I put in their folders and waste paper/other materials.\r\n\r\nThe folders are very sturdy, I know that they will last my students through several years in band class. Also, the clarinet and saxophone reeds will continue to supply my students with playable materials until the end of this school year (at least).\r\n\r\nThe tissues, lotion, and other helpful resources have made a great impact on my students as well.
