We were successfully able to complete our novel study throughout the month of December and also compare and contrast the novel and movie! We had a little time to begin the musical, as well, which incorporated other elements and allowed us to further compare and contrast all three pieces. \r\n\r\n In addition, the novels provided the resources for all of my students to engage with the text to build upon fluency and comprehension, while tying in each of the elements of fiction. It was amazing to see the students laugh and even gasp at parts of this higher level novel! I can honestly say every one of my students was fully engaged!
