Through serving our school community, they are discovering firsthand how critical strong communication skills are for professional success. Giving them the space to practice these language skills within the supportive environment of our school is preparing them for independence and meaningful life after graduation.\r\nWe started this initiative on a small scale earlier this year, and thanks to its overwhelming success, your support is allowing us to expand our reach so we can become accessible across the entire school.\r\nMy students take immense pride in the work they do and in serving others every single day. Watching them fall in love with a project they genuinely enjoy—and seeing their confidence grow with every order filled—is a true blessing. Because of your kindness, our students have been able to participate in meaningful hands-on learning experiences that are helping them build important life and work skills.\r\n\r\nUsing the new resources, students are taking customer orders, making coffee, delivering coffee, handling money, making change, and practicing communication and teamwork skills. These activities have created authentic learning opportunities that help students gain confidence and independence in real-world situations.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments from this project was seeing one of my most shy students truly shine. While making coffee, he confidently demonstrated his skills and was incredibly proud of how well he performed. Watching his confidence grow and seeing him take pride in his work was an unforgettable moment for all of us.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were beyond excited. They were eager to jump in, learn the different responsibilities, and begin practicing new skills. Their enthusiasm and motivation have made this project even more rewarding.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to expand this project on a larger scale throughout the entire building. Students will continue developing their skills by taking on additional responsibilities, offering more choices, and creating an even bigger coffee service experience for staff and students. We are excited to continue building independence, confidence, and workplace readiness through this opportunity.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible.
