They could not wait to explore the different textures, puzzles, magnetic letters, and sensory trays. Their curiosity and enthusiasm were contagious, and they immediately began engaging with the materials through play and exploration.\r\n\r\nWe are using these resources during our literacy centers and small-group instruction to build foundational skills in letter recognition, letter-sound awareness, and fine motor development. One memorable moment occurred when a student who had been hesitant to participate in writing activities eagerly traced letters in the sand tray and proudly announced, \"I made an A!\" Experiences like these help build confidence and create positive early learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThe tactile letters, Wikki Stix, and magnetic letters have given students opportunities to see, touch, hear, and create letters in many different ways. The sound phones have become a class favorite, allowing children to listen to themselves as they practice letter sounds and develop early phonemic awareness. These hands-on experiences have made learning feel like play while strengthening important readiness skills for reading and writing.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our alphabet studies, students will use these materials to practice matching letters and sounds, sorting objects by beginning sound, and building simple words. These resources will continue to support our young learners as they develop the confidence and skills needed to become successful readers and writers. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our classroom has become an engaging and interactive environment where every child can learn through exploration, movement, and discovery.","fullyFundedDate":1774963844731,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-letter-learning-building-stron/10123135/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Letter Learning: Building Strong Readers From the Start","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Stock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4546415_orig.jpg?crop=829,829,x0,y46&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1555888555051","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4546415"},{"teacherId":4546415,"projectId":9493942,"letterContent":"The books that you have purchased for our classroom are making a huge difference on my student's social emotional learning. We use these when we read the books and use them to help children identify their emotions when they are upset. \r\n\r\nWhen I read these books to my class. All of my students sit together on the carpet and are fully engaged in the story. They follow along and predict what might happen next.
