"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood." ~ Mr. Rogers Play is really the work of childhood and dramatic play is an essential part of teaching the skills to succeed in the real world. The key to education in preschool and special education is to teach academics and life lessons to our children through play. By engaging in play, children learn so many things - social skills, language development, communication skills, physical well being, self-help skills, mathematics, reading, and so much more. With your help, we will be able to provide our children with a unique space to expand their scope of play and take their imagination to the next level. Through your generosity, my students of all ability levels will be able to engage in active and imaginative play with their peers. We cannot wait to see the look on the kids' faces when they see the loft waiting for them to explore!
