This is my first year as the Phys. Ed. teacher (previously 17yrs in the classroom) and I have come to find 2 things to be true about PE. \r\nOne, PE equipment is crazy expensive and Two; our PE classes have been lacking some of the basic equipment. Your generous donation has enabled our classes to have some of those basic needs which we are very grateful for. \r\nOne of the pieces of equipment that we recently received were colored sleeves that go on our cones that can be used to put the instructions in for different stations. We recently completed jumping stations to lead into our jump roping unit, I was able to put the instructions for each station in the sleeves and students could see what they had to do without having to ask me over and over what they needed to do. \r\nWe received beach balls as well, which we plan to use for our volleyball unit. I have found that if we start with a light ball like a beach ball, that students can more fully understand how to hit and set when we transition from the beach balls to volleyballs. It also is much easier for the younger students in kindergarten and first grade to hit a beach ball compared to a volleyball. \r\nThese are a few of the things that we have received. We also received foam rollers, bean bags, small cones, small soccer balls, footballs, and a ring toss set. Each of these items will add to our inventory or equipment for our students to use and enjoy. We are so grateful for all of this equipment.","fullyFundedDate":1770391093306,"projectUrl":"project/powering-physical-movement/9903793/","projectTitle":"Powering Physical Movement","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kroeger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10353632"},{"teacherId":8121269,"projectId":9421718,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous Teachers Pay Teachers gift card, my students have benefited in ways that reach far beyond a single lesson or activity. While many people use digital resources at home, what's most powerful in the classroom is how these materials let me meet students exactly where they are. The resources I was able to purchase have helped create more engaging, differentiated lessons that support every learner.\r\n\r\nThe students have been especially excited about the interactive resources and hands-on activities I was able to purchase. They love when learning feels like a game or a challenge, and several of the materials from TPT offered them exactly that. The bright visuals, creative tasks, and clear structure have kept them motivated and eager to participate.\r\n\r\n\r\nYour gift card didn't just provide materials, it provided opportunities. The resources I purchased will continue to support learning throughout the year, and I'm deeply grateful for the impact you've made in our classroom. Your generosity has greatly helped my students already this year. We have received 4 surf laptop seats, 2 recliner floor seats, 2 wobble stools, and 6 round seat cushions. The kids were extremely excited when they first arrived. I have slowly put them into rotation on a daily basis for classroom seating and center time work. They love when it is their chosen day to get to sit in something other than their traditional seat. \r\n I use Classroom Dojo for rewards in my class and each team has a Dojo Turn In day. When it is their teams turn, they get to choose from the wobble stools and a few other items I already had to sit in for the day. Then during Reading and Math Centers we use the surf laptop chairs and recliner floor chairs for our technology center. The round cushions are used for read to self and math fact centers. \r\n The students also know that these are not play toys. We have discussed proper use and how these privileges can be taken away if they are not used properly. The kids want to keep their seats so they stay on task and work quietly!
