The materials have given my students more opportunities to be less stressed, work through tough situations, and have clothing options if an emergency arises. One of my favorite moments was watching my students excitedly use the new fidgets to handle their stress in a more manageable way. Having these resources available has made our room more inviting and able to find something for most anyone in need.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they first saw the new materials - it was like a little kid on Christmas morning! There were lots of smiles, questions, and comments about when they would get to use everything. They were especially excited to have new tools and materials that they could actually touch, explore, and use during our time together. Their enthusiasm made it clear how much these resources added to their middle school experience - and it definitely has helped with their stress management.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using the new resources as we build on their coping skills and concepts we work through when a tough time arises. Students also do not have to worry about clothing mishaps or wet socks which can change the day of most middle schoolers with a simple change of wardrobe. And no extra stress is added on a call home or a worry about getting to school for a change of clothes, which I can feel puts students at ease knowing I have them covered!\r\n\r\nThank you so much to our donors for making these experiences possible!
