The purpose of the refresher is to remind students of the school expectations. We typically schedule a refresher after each extended break. Students will rotate to each station (lunchroom, hallway, bathroom, playground, and classroom) to review expected behaviors. I will be in the library to review with students, the Zones of Regulation. Each student will leave with a \"What Zone Are You In?\" sticker created using print to cut on the Cricut Maker 3 and the Epson Printer.\r\n\r\nROX (Ruling Our eXperiences) is a national 20-week evidence-based program in schools for girls in grades 5-12. At Parkmoor, 14 fifth graders participate in the ROX Program. One of the items each participant receives is a folder provided by ROX. Fourteen third and fourth graders from Parkmoor are participants in See Kids Dream. Students work to identify community issues they think are impacting our community. They also collect input from students, teachers, and staff members to see what they think are the most important issues to address in the community. Students conduct research on community issues and interview non profit organizations addressing those issues in the community. Students choose a non profit organization to do a service project for. In May, students all over the Columbus area will participate in the Leaders of Tomorrow Showcase, in downtown \r\nColumbus, where they will share with community leaders the impact they made in the community. See Kids Dream provides tee shirts for each student and facilitator to wear for the Leaders of Tomorrow Showcase. Using the Cricut Maker 3, the shirts for the students of Parkmoor Elementary shirts will be personalized.\r\n\r\nYour donation has been more than supplies. It has and will continue to be a gift of connection and creativity for our students. Your kindness is making a long lasting difference for our school community.
