Many of them have difficulty reading grade level material. The headphones allow the students to listen to required reading material, and this helps them comprehend what they are reading much better. Taking the focus off of decoding put the focus on understanding!\r\n\r\nThe students in my building are exposed to quite a lot of trauma. I did not expect that the headphones would come in handy for decompressing when time outs are needed. This is definitely an added bonus that I am grateful for.\r\n\r\nAgain, I thank you for your generosity on behalf of my students and myself.
