Students are not just learning about plants—they are becoming young scientists.\r\n\r\nIn a Montessori school, botany and ecology are foundational to our philosophy. Dr. Maria Montessori believed that a deep connection to the natural world fosters respect, independence, and stewardship. The AeroGardens allow students to care for living plants year-round, strengthening their understanding of interdependence between humans and the environment and reinforcing lessons in ecology, sustainability, and mindful care.\r\n\r\nThis project also extends beyond the classroom. As the plants mature, students will transplant them into our Gamble Garden, completing the growing cycle from seed to garden.
