They've become a staple in our \"calm down corner\" where these items live, and it has become a safe, welcoming space for students to reset and refocus. It has been incredible to see them use these tools as they were intended - supporting their learning and self-regulation, rather than as toys.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was contagious! Students were eager to explore each item, and it turned into a great opportunity to model and practice how to use them appropriately. Now, it's second nature - students independently choose tools like squishy stress balls or the bubble timer to help them stay engaged and calm. One of my favorite moments is watching a student quietly grab a fidget during a challenging task and successfully work through it with confidence. Those small moments are huge wins in our classroom!\r\n\r\nAs we continue learning and growing together, these tools will remain a vital support for years to come. They allow my students to build independence, develop coping strategies, and stay focused on their goals.
